Opposite bindings on Favourite menu in The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim
Once I made the stuff as "favourite" and display them on the favorite menu (Q) then I have to click with left mouse button to point out right hand use and have to click with right mouse button to indicate left hand use. I am not amble to understand that why it is not working as it was expected? I think that they should bind the thing/weapon to the characters left hand and not the hand on the opposite side. I am posting here to know what is your opinion about this?

If you go and look then you will get that the buttons are actually mapped backwards for some reason. I don't know if this is random or if it’s like that by default on the game period but I played without noticing for at least an hour then noticed that I had been pushing right for left and vice versa. If you want then you can into controls and switch them back. I hope that this post will be helpful to you.

When I was facing the problem then I simply mapped Left hand as M2 and right hand as M1. After this the issue gets resolved. You can also do the same and I am sure that it will do same for you as well.

As far as I think, it is just for the reason that the left clicking is the most common and it is also known a the “primary" click, as most of the people are right handed and this is the reason that the right hand is considered the main hand. If you want then you can try by swapping them in the controls menu, and the behavior for equipping might follow it. As I am right handed so I need not to do that, but if you feel convenient in that way then you can swap that.

I was also annoyed by it at initially. But it helps to not think about them as "left hand action" and "right hand action" but instead as "primary action" and "secondary action". Just memorize it as "left click for primary action" and you will not be having problem with that.

I don’t think that this is going to create problem with the game. If you are uncomfortable with that then you can either swap that or you can also continue with that and after some time, you will be used to of the change and you will not feel odd.
